Announcement Regarding Increase in Initial Capital Amounts for Joint-Stock Companies and Limited Liability Companies

The Presidential Decree numbered 7887 on Increasing the Initial Capital Amount for Joint Stock and Limited Liability Companies (the "Decision") was published in the Official Gazette dated 25 November 2023 and numbered 32380.

With the Decision numbered 7887, it was decided to enter into force the Decision regarding the increase of the minimum capital amount for joint stock and limited liability companies, pursuant to the first paragraph of Article 332 and paragraph 2 of Article 580 of the Turkish Commercial Law numbered 6102.

The regulations that will enter into force within the scope of these Decisions are as follows:

• For limited liability companies, the intial capital amount has been increased from TRY 10.000,00 to TRY 50.000,00.
• For  joint stock companies, thie inital capital amount has been increased from  TRY 50.000,00 to 250.000,00 TL.
• For non-public joint stock companies that have adopted the registered capital system, the initial capital amount has been increased from TRY 100.000,00 to 500.000,00 TL.

The Regulation has entered the force on the date of its publication, effective as of January 1, 2024, and you may find the detailed provisions of the Regulation in the Official Gazette.
